MACRO
Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma

When Luca Massimo Barbero became director of MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome) it went through a huge evolution. He brought a fresh, dynamic energy to the exhibitions while, at the same time, the space was being redesigned by renowned architect Odile Decq. Barbero asked me to create some advertisements for the museum with an “editorial” feel to them. The first ad we did was with a photograph of an artwork installation by Rirkrit Tiravanija entitled “You’re Not Dead Yet”. Not liking the logo they were using at the time, we agreed it was okay to change it for the ads. It eventually became the logo for the museum.
